Releasing Unconscious Contracts
A transformative workshop integrating conscious awareness and somatic movement for whole-being healing.
In this experiential workshop, you'll learn how to identify and release unconscious contracts—hidden agreements we make with ourselves that limit self-compassion and reinforce negative beliefs.
Unconscious contracts often arise from childhood experiences as our nervous system tries to protect us from future pain, yet they keep us stuck in patterns of self-judgment. When we believe something negative about ourselves, it’s not truth, it’s trauma.
Through a unique mindbody approach you’ll learn how to clear blocks to self-warmth and develop a resonant self-witness—engaging both the mind’s awareness and the body’s wisdom. When we release these contracts, our bodies can relax, and we can move into a larger, more compassionate sense of self.
What to expect:
This workshop includes some teaching, some practicing and some guided movement. If you experience challenges getting to the floor we offer a chair-based somatic practice. Also note that space is limited, this will be a small, intimate gathering of 6-8 people.
What to bring:
Bring something to write with, a water bottle, and wear comfortable clothes. We'll be sitting on the floor, so bring a mat and whatever you need to be comfortable like a pillow or bolster. We'll have some loaner mats on hand if you forget. Also let us know if you experience challenges sitting on the floor, chairs can be provided.
Workshop location:
This workshop is held at Liz's Long Beach studio, The Movement. There is 2-hour unmetered street parking available on Broadway and unlimited in the surrounding neighborhood. Make sure to give yourself enough time to find a spot.
